In many cultures around the world, especially in the Middle East and Mediterranean, it is good luck to wear an eye shaped piece of jewelry to protect oneself from negative forces. The ever vigilant eye jewelry works at all times to deflect potentially harmful envious gazes away from the wearer.

So when I found this gorgeous mandorla shaped piece of lapis lazuli, flecked with gold, I knew I had to create my interpretation of the protective "evil eye" charm. It is set in hand-stamped sterling silver with accents of 18k gold balls. The two dangling briolettes are pyrite.

Pendant is 1 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches long, with the dangles. Includes a 19 inch chain with hand forged clasps.
