A custom engagement ring made in collaboration with jeweler Naomi Landig for a mutual friend.
The bride and groom are nature lovers and are building a cabin together on a little island off the coast of Washington state. So Naomi and I wanted to use a wood texture as a reference for the strength of their love and their commitment to building a self-sufficient and environmentally sustainable life together. In the end, we were inspired by the subtle pattern of an acorn cap. Acorns grow into oaks, one of the strongest and in many cultures, the foremost of sacred trees. We hope that the ring will accompany them as their union continues to grow more solid year after year.
